RE: [MW:25579] regarding under cut and concavity in welder qualification

QW-302.4 requires a visual examination per QW-194.  QW-194 requires complete joint penetration and complete fusion.  Concavity would be considered not complying with the requirement for complete joint penetration.  However, undercut within manufacturers quality requirements would be acceptable as per Interpretation IX-01-03.

       2. is it true that as per ASME sec 9 undercut is not consider for welder qualification.
