RE: [MW:13268] Minimum acceptance criteria for weld reinforcement for pipe and plate

Which ASME code – B31.1, B31.3, I ?  In the codes I normally find the requirement for reinforcement.

Dear all,

 

             Reinforcement height or excess weld metal of cap is as per the design code. However, if the height is more then your weld is getting weak bear this in mind and many of us we do not give important on this.

the weld reinforcement depends on the weld thickness and the same can be found in table 341.3.2 of B31.3.
