Dear Rana,

UT inspection on austenitic materials is very well possible. Also weld
inspection is no problem. However there are some limitations:
* the minimum thickness of material is in general down to about 8mm
(less depends on case to case)
* you should pay special attention to the types of probes
* the UT technician should have experience inspecting using these
probes and materials as it is not necessarily straight forward UT
inspection
* if possible you should use automated UT (however no ToFD) for
depending on the thickness the inspection can be very time consuming
