[MW:2009] RE: 2003] Ferrite test

HI !

Ferrite  is tested by feretometer  for weld overlay of SS You get directly the Ferrite No/ Ferrite % Generally  3 places per seam and 2 per long seam

 

However second method is take a SS weld chips at above mentioned places and Test the elements by chemical analysis. And  Plot the NI  and Cr equivalent on De long Diagram available in SFA 5.4 in ASME sec IIC ( Check the elements mentioned in D Long Diagram)

1.  Percent of test per weld seam/length and no. of measurement per test

2.  Method of calculating the average of measurements
