[MW:1785] RE: 1783] Hydro test for vessels, heat exchangers and columns after 9 years of service in a petro chemical plant

Hi CSV,

Before proceeding with hydro test all thickness gauging and condition survey of vessel needs to be carried out, provided all are satisfactory and are meeting original vessel design thicknesses then vessels can be re-hydro tested at original test pressures, refer API 510 for more details.

I need help with respect to procedure to decide about the suitable hydro / pressure test pressure for the static equipments after service period of 9 years in a petrochemical plant. This should be with respect to the design pressure data available.

Regards
