Your Q? need be more clear to get quick replies, as in this case what code you are following and what position your welder qualified, in case of Sec IX refer QW461.9 and 452.6 will give you the answer

 

I just want to share an article appeared in The Economic Times last week (thou out of topic but interesting)

I HAVE COME ACROSS AN INTERESTING SITUATION.

 

WE HAVE WELDERS QUALIFIED IN 6" x 7.11 mm THK. PIPE OFF COURSE BUTT WELD. MY QUESTION IS CAN THESE WELDER PERFORM WELDING OF SMALL BORE PIPE LIKE 3/4" SOCKET WELD.

 

PL. HELP ME.
