Dear,

ERNiCrMo -3 backing temperature max 350 Deg.C. Can you try min backing temp 320 Deg. C and 2 hours must. For the welding consumables brand better go with Special Metals.

Thanks & Regards,

Dear Expart,

Can you please guide on the steps to follow to weld UNS 31254 Pipe to Forging. We are facing much issue on weld finish and slag inclusion. We are using ERNiCrMo3 & ERNiCrMo3 consumables with 200 Deg.C backing and 70-80 Amp current. Please refer the attached photo of the welded joint.

Thanks in advance,
Subrata Das
