RE: [MW:33620] Limitation of FCAW process

Pradip,
The spec seems to be outdated. There're scopes for improvement. You may refer latest API RP 582 for guidance, as well as the other industry standards & consumable manufacturer's guidebooks.
Hope this will help.

Thanks.

Subject: [MW:33619] Limitation of FCAW process

Dear all,

Our contract document is restricted for FCAW process upto 25 mm thickness and design temperature not less than minus 10 degree centrigrad for all pipe welding.

Any specific reason for the  limitation of particular process.

Thanks in advance.
Pradip
