Due to some problems with lack of penetration.
I´d like to use backing rings for welding some pipes.
Is there any problem, limitations as per welding codes or engineering practices to use them when they haven't been considered by the Engineering Department or indicated in drawings?
Just include them in the WPS?
Any advice in X -Ray Film interpretation due to such new insert?
