[MW:26564] Re: Multi Process Qualification (MAG+SAW)

Dear Utreweld,

After I ask this question here and can't get any answer for a long time, i ask some of our customers experts and here is the answer:

According to 15614-1 Clause 8.4.4 Same group of the wires cover each other.

with this like your answer, if the consumable wire class according to standard not changed, I can use whatever I want without any new test coupon.

but if I want to change the root wire, I need to prepare a test coupon that covered the root weld thickness and combine two PQR to create a new WPS (According to EN 15614-1 Clause 8.4.1).

Thank you for your answer.

These are the official answer i get from customers welding expert.

Regards.

In my opinion, if they have the category of wire2 is the same than category of wire1 they could be exchanged.

the root wire on PQR1.

but I don't want to make complete test.

On the PQR1 i used root wire1; and i want to make a new test with only root wire2 with same thickness range on PQR1 root thickness.

can i use these two PQR tests to create new WPS described on the sketch.

Regards.
