Dear Sridhar,
The hydrostatic pressure testing is mainly to check the mechanical
integrity of weld joints & to asses the same for the base metal as
well. So, in your case if there are no new weld joints, hydrotest
could be waived. but you may have to do leak test (at operational
pressure) for the new flanged (with gaskets) in order to check the
leak proofing.this is just for info.
