Re: [MW:20119] How to check pipe integrity

Dear,

Since it wasn't in service and under sea for a year only, there are no special tests to my belief.

All one does is to carry standard checks that are done on pipes. May be you can check pipe thicknesses at random, weld quality and chemical check on surface for comparing with previous results esp. to indicate sea erosion/ corrosion.

If you are planning to re use, it can be done with mutual consent and set procedure for acceptance.

Best Regards,

Dear peers,
what are the tests we can conduct on retreived sub sea pipe line from sea to check the pipe integrity.
Pipes were in sea for more than a year and pipe grade is API 5L X 60 Grade.
It was not under service condtion.
If you have any procedure please share with me.
