[MW:17263] How to evaluate plastic limit of pipe?

Dear experts,

Is there any method to evaluate if the pipe is reaching to its plastic limit?. I assume that if the pipe reaches to elastic limit, it can regain its original condition. If it crosses elastic limit , it will not go back to its original shape and deform permanently.
