Asunto: [MW:5578] Safe radiation levels outside a radioisotope container/projector

Hi,
Could you please tell me what can be considered " safe radiation levels outside a radioisotope container".Many construction groups mandate certain limits w/o considering the source strength. As the source strength increases the so called 'leak out' would increase, too. A100 Ci source will give more out of its container than a 30 Ci one.
How do we approach this issue? What are the official norms of recent origin?
Rgds,
Shashank Vagal
