In our internal standards we have 30mm from HAZ to HAZ in special cases.
You can make hardness test if you are in doubt, the hardness shall be lower then the hardness recorded in the PQR
good practice is 75 to 100 mm

Dear All
My case is:-
code of construction- ASME B31.3
LPG/LNG pipeline
For Pig signaller, we have to weld a barred tee in the pup piece attached with valve.
pup piece material- API 5L X60 PSL2
barred tee- ASTM A860 WPHY 60
length of pup piece is 125 mm. Kindly find the attached drawing for welding connection.
Acc. to Australian std distance between welds should be 6 times of thickness, in this case we r not able to weld.
PLS confirm looking at the drawing, can the welding be performed?
