[MW:5388] ASME IX

Dear All

I have some  inquiries about ASME IX:

1-for prepration of tensile test , thermal cuttuing according to QW-151.1(D)is not permitted, but in QW-462.1

is permitted.please clarify it.

2-if  we have a test coupon3/4" thick with GTAW at the root (1/16") and the rest of the test SMAW E7018(11/16").now for preparing turned speciemen maybe part of GTAW is removed, is it permitted?
