[MW:34310] Re: Gas purity conformation

You can use 99.5 %
Pl. qualify PQR and address in WPS as
Shielding Gas - CO2
Composition - 99.5 % minimum

In the said case you can NOT write Shielding gas - SFA 5.32  SG-C in WPS ,PQR

Thanks and regards

Sir,
As per sec IX and API 1104 purity of gas is not an essential variable but in sec II C they had mentioned about the purity percentage. For example I have a gas certificate for CO2 with 99.5% but as per sec II C the purity percentage is given as 99.8%.
So please advise me can I go with 99.5%...

Thanks and Regards
