[MW:31603] Re: WPS and PQR According to ASME Sec.IX and Sec.VIII- Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code

your query is kind of broad. You should only involve the essential and non essential variables for each weld process used, stated in ASME Section IX. To involve ASME Sect. VIII without knowing what it is you are trying to incorporate, one would only be guessing. In short, there is no "essential requirements" when creating a weld procedure specification that you will find in a code of construction. Follow ASME IX and refer to the code of construction as needed.

Dear Experts,

Please refer below WPS and PQR details.

PQR Details - Base Metal - ASTM A106 Gr.B  To ASTM A106 Gr.B. ( P No - 1 Gr.No - 1 To  P No - 1 Gr.No - 1 ).
Process - GTAW  + SMAW ( GTAW - 4.8 mm + SMAW - 13.46 mm)
Thickness of the Coupon -18.26 mm, Dia - 6"
With PWHT - 638°C ,time 72 min.
No Impact tested.
DESIGN TEMP. / MDMT (°C) -290 / 5 .

WPS Details - Base Metal - ASTM A106 / A516 Gr.B / Gr.70  To  ASTM A106 / A516 Gr.B / Gr.70 . ( P No - 1 Gr.No - 1/2 To  P No - 1 Gr.No - 1/2 ).
Process - GTAW  + SMAW ( GTAW - 9.6 mm + SMAW - 15.4 mm).
SFA No- GTAW - 5.18 and for SMAW - 5.1.
AWS No - GTAW - ER70S-3 and SMAW - E7018-1H4R.
Pre heat - less than 12.7 mm -10°C and less than 25 mm 75°C.
Inter pass Temp. -315°C.
PWHT - 620°C, Holding time 1 hr thk +1 hour min.

According to above details help me to review, as per ASME Section VIII for Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
And I need your suggestion what are the essentials requirements according ASME  Sec.VIII. And what are the important things i have to check.
Please suggested me with clause reference.

Please send me your valuable suggestions, it's Supports me lot.
