-- Please kindly see the joint detail attached below. I got puzzled that what welding position it is in red arrow indicates.
Previously,I thought it must be Over head position, and Now my fellow tell me it should be Horizontal position.
- I just checked AWS and ASME code,Note 3 said that "the angle of rotation of the face is determined by a line perpendicular to the theoretical face of the weld which passes through the axis of the weld.". What the " theoretical face of the weld" exactly means? Is that means"weld face"?if yes,then the angle become 0 degree for the weld mentioned previously,and welding position fall into Horizontal.
