[MW:24933] Re: Weld Overlay - Reg

Hi venkatesh,

Best suitable process of weld overlay is GTAW.
So you use ERNiCrMo-3 for 1st layer and second/third layers. How much deposition you are planning? What is the depth of overlay chemistry to be achieved? How much dilution required?
For thickness limits and other details please go through ASME Sec IX QW453.
Also go through fig QW462.5(a) for the chemical analysis requirements.

Dear Gentlemen,

My client requirement is SA266Gr.2 with alloy625 weld overlay (Tubesheet), actually i want to prepare WPS & PQR verified with ASME Sec IX but i am not clear still i have some doubts, regarding point no:
1. What is the appropriate filler/electrode for 1st layer and subsequent layer.
2. What is the basemetal & weld metal qualification range.
3. What are the things i have to follow during preparation of WPS & PQR.

 Your response is highly appreciated.
