[MW:1393] Re: CVN Impact exemption on PQR as per UCS 67 (a) (2)

CVN impact is required on PQR as per my opinion.Data given in mfr's data sheet can not be recognised. It can ofcourse increase our confidence after using and subsequent testing at MDMT in question.

MDMT -46 °C

MOC: SA333 Gr6, SA 350 LF2, cl1, both are exempted from CVN impact as per UCS 66(g)

Consumables used are ER80SNi-1, and E7018 G as per SFA5.5 (both are tested at -60 °C with satisfactory values as per mfr data sheet)

However PQR impact testing required unless consumable are classified by impact tests at least at -46 °C by the applicable SFA as per UCS 67 (a) (2).

In this case E 7018-G (ETC PH 76S of Oerlikon) as per SFA 5.5 does not satisfy this rule.

In my opinion CVN impacts are required on PQR. Members please share your opinion/interpretation.
