[MW:1412] Re: Comparison of Vacpack electrode

Dear Sir,

Yes for our company and our experienced that E7018-1 is very economical for us. Even that you all ready open the vacuum can and leave it for a certain time or day w/ simple storage. You can re-use the remaining welding rods again(pre heat in portable oven). This experience was done for our 30" dia X 1.062"/ 0.962"/ 1.00" WT X x65/ x60 pipe(Client-Saudi Aramco). With 96% NDT pass and inspection. We use the brand LINCOLN.

Best regards,

Dear Friends,

Anybody having experience in vac pack electrode (E7018-1) usage in your company. Is it economical comparing to normal non vac packed electrode (with baking and holding)?

When using vaccum packed electrode any body faced any quality problems? If yes, how controlled it?

Please share the advantages and dis advantages that you really faced.

Thanks & Regards
Muhammed Ibrahim PK
