The term Inch Dia OR Dia Inch is used for the quantity of welding for the piping fabrication.
 
1 inch dia/Dia inch = Size of the joint X No. of the joints.

What is the difference between 1 inch welding and 1 inch dia welding?

Answer: this is the circumference of a 1" diameter pipe.

One full welding on a 42"pipe is 42"dia welding.
Answer: this is what you call inch-dia or dia-inch in pipe welding production or pipe erection term

Answer: This is the inch-dia that is normally used for measuring a piping job, common in pipe welding production or pipe erection

Our client spec states only the requirements for induction bending and would like to know your opinion on the cold bend inspection requirements.
