[MW:769] Re: A234 WPB & WPBW

Mr Sabir,
When we are go to diameter above 24" and above, we can't get seamless. Last time my client also looked seamless for 36", but we raised technical query and suggested 100% RT on the weld.

So please check with your client.

Louis

Dear Mr. Rushabh,

I understand that in SA 234, for WPB there are two method of construction.

Seamless - WPB

Welded - WPBW

Is it possible to get Fittings above 16'' as Seamless Construction?

I have to procure a 36'' EQUAL TEE and 36'' x 24'' RED TEE. All the vendors are offering Welded Construction, but the Client prefers Seamless. Am I right at the statement that, all fittings above 16'' are Welded Construction only.

AM I RIGHT.....?

Kindly advice me...

Thank you,

Regards,

Dear Sabir,
Please refer page No.385 of Sec II Part - A (A234).

WPBW is mandatory Marking on the fittings. So the requirements are met
as per A234.

If there is still problem please reply to this.
