Dear Experts,
As per ASME Section VIII Div I.
UW-51, RADIOGRAPHIC EXAMINATION OF WELDED JOINTS
t = the thickness of the weld excluding any allowable reinforcement. For a butt weld joining two members having different thicknesses at the weld, t is the thinner of these two thicknesses.
As per ASME Section I
PW-51 RADIOGRAPHIC EXAMINATION
t is the thickness of the weld
My question is As per ASME Section I, whether t is the thickness of the weld including or excluding any allowable reinforcement ?
