[MW:14266] RE: 14262] RT Source Side/Film Side

Dear Vino,

As per Code in some cases you have to place the IQI only on source side for example DWDI (Double wall Double Image). If the IQI is placed on film side it is easy to get the required sensitivity but in double wall double image we have to see the sensitivity for both the wall i.e. near the film and near the source.

Regarding judgment you can easily make out on looking at Radiograph as you will get the same image of IQI when it is placed on Film side and elongated image of IQI when it is placed on Source Side moreover it is code requirement to put lead letter “F” if the IQI is placed on Film side, hope to clarified your doubt.

With kind regards,

Subject: [MW:14262] RT Source Side/Film Side

Dear Experts,

I would like to know which gives the best result - whether to place the IQI on source or film side?

and what is the reason...

Whether it have affect the result in interpretation?

If we forget to place the IQI as required, i mean on the film side, how to judge from the film?

Thanks & Regards

Vino-Doha
