Dear expert,
I'm recently working in a structural project as welding qc . During fabrication inspection, surface crack was found in angles material used in project ( as bracing ) so i reviewed the mechanical examination reports ( the tests are done according to En iso 10025-2 ) but absolutely mechanical properties and chemical analysis is ok! and that is so interesting to me .
And after that according to the material examination reports, welding of a reinforcing bare is permitted by the engineer and its more interesting issue for me!
However my question is according to any fabrication standard is it possible to welding on a cracked surface material like that ?
(the depth of cracks are 3 mm in both sides and in all over the angles surface area .)
Thank you.
