Re: [MW:11912] Pre-heat and Interpass temperature

Hi

Preheat can be determined by BS EN 1011-2 for ferritic materials. Refer to other sections of this standard for other type of materials. Preheat is determined based on thickness to be welded, material(C.E.), welding process /diffusible hydrogen content of the consumable.

Best regards

Dear Member,

Anybody can share me how to determine the pre-heat and interpass temperature?

Is it correct if we determine the pre-heat based on the CE (carbon equivalent)?
And what about interpass?

Regards,
Endri
