[MW:25804] Welding of Oxygen free (Pure) copper

Dear Experts,

Do anybody have an experience of welding Pure copper (99.997%) i.e Oxygen free grade by TIG welding (with filler wire).

Could you please suggest the recommended (1) filler wire (2) preheating (3) distortion control requirement (4) nominal welding parameters (5) care during welding. (There are some literature available on this but it is a trick to weld with TIG and therefore practical experience matters here)

Also would be nice if one can share the mechanical properties of weld + HAZ (I assume, it would be lower than the base but wanted to learn that how much % it degrades in weld and HAZ.

For info.: My job thickness range if 12-15mm plate to plate full penetration butt welding.

Thanks in advance.

With Regards,
Jaydeep
