Dear Gents,

Our Construction Code is ASME B 31.3.

Our Client standard is asking for the minimum impact value of 34/27 J for P1 Gr 1 & 40/32 J for P1 Gr 2 full size (10X10) specimens both Weld metal and HAZ at minimum design temperature for PQR qualification.

Process- GTAW + SMAW

Out MDMT is -45 Deg C.

The PQR tested at -64.7 deg C and the impact values are as follows for Weld 20.33/17 J and for HAZ-1 is 41.5/35.5 & HAZ-2 is 40/50 J.
Specimen size is 10X4.

Is the test result acceptable for Weld zone as per client std.?

We need your kind advice and code reference.
