what you PQR states , if it is qualified with PWHT and CVN impact (if required), rewrite the WPS/PQR with F7P8. else qualify new PQR with PWHT using same combination used on production

Dear all, My vendor is using WPS as follows: Process - FCAW + SAW Base Metal - S355 K2G3/ API 2H /2W GR 50 Thickness - 50 mm & above Wire for FCAW - E71T-1 Wire for SAW - EH 12K & Flux - F 7A8 Preheat Temp.- 100 to 125 deg.C PWHT Temp. - 500 to 520 deg.C As per ASME Sec - II C Flux to be used shall be F 7P8 ( A denotes- as weld conditions & P denotes for PWHT) As WPS includes PWHT Flux shall be used F 7P8. Pl. guide me, weather flux used by the vendor is acceptable & if not what is to be done for the weld joints,those have been welded till date. Pl. reply urgently. PSP |
