Hi…
We are replacing an old Flare Tip with a new velocity seal type Flare Tip. The Flare Tip vendor is giving the Flare Tip with a Flanged end and the mating Flange is supplied ship lose with the Flare Tip.
I want to know something about the material compatibility of the Flare Tip Flange and the existing Flare Stack, upon which the mating Flanges will be welded.
The Flanges provided by the vendor is SS316.
The Flare Stacks are made of API 5L or Fe42B (SA516 Gr.70) for 36'' and 42''
Flare Stack for 24'' is A240 Tp316
In this case, can I weld the SS316 with theses material?
Kindly advice me on this
Thank you,
Regards,
Sabir
