[MW:562] Re: Equivalent plate material for API 5L Gr X52

We can select any grade as far as the chemical properties of X-52 are met and Mechanical properties can be met after rolling.
One can even buy A 516-70 or IS 2062-B with supplementary requirements to meet the X-52 standard.

[MW:554] Equivalent plate material for API 5L Gr X52

There are plates available as X52 which's mills specially make for API pipes,
Essar was making plates marked as API X52, X80 etc. I have seen when I visited their plant long back.

It is difficult to get equivalent ASME/ASTM spec

Try the following
DIN 17006   StE 360.7,  StE 360.7 TM
DIN 17007      1.0578 1.0582,
17172   EN 10208-2,
L360NB, L360MB, L360QB,

To get the above tubular rolled what plate material should be used.
