Under 2 conditions you can use WPS.

1. GTAW +SMAW PQR qualified for GTAW 4mm (2t).

2. Example Pipe A106Gr.B minimum tolerance as given below in snap shot within limits in SA-530

Dear team,

Kindly clarify the problem which is as follows,

I have CS wps gtaw+smaw (gtaw upto 8mm thk.)
I have to weld 8"seh.40 (8.18mm)CS pipe with full TIG as per client requirement.

Can I use the above WPS without SMAW (only GTAW upto 8 mm.thk)

Thanks & Regards,
