Greetings, Aramco project experts,
Good morning!
Have a good day!
I would like to bring your attention to clarifying the welder JCC validity and expiration.
( As per SAEP-324- Para 5.1.4 Prior to start of production welding, contractor shall submit welder's valid qualification certificate and/or welder's performance continuity record to project inspector. Project inspector will review all essential variables to ensure welder's qualification meet project requirements and then issue a Job Clearance Card (JCC) as provided in Appendix II of this procedure.)
Suppose one welder based on his performance continuity record IPIU issued the new welder JCC card on dated May 7, 2025 (in same project), and issued JCC welder' performance continuity record was expired on dated on May 7, 2025.
1. Question :- This welder issued JCC's validity shall be considered expired, and this welder shall not be performing the three initial productions to check his weldability.
2. Question: This welder, JCC, issued on the date May 7, 2025, based on his performance continuity, is it valid, and can he perform the three initial production joints to prove his weldability on the job scope?.
Thank you! For your support and clarification.
