Dear Experts,
I have a query and need your advice.
How much allowable tolerance of pipe straightness/vertically while
installing pre-assembled pipe spools and fit-up for field joints?
Presently, we have received prefabricated spools and those having a
vertical deflection of 12mm in 1222mm length.
The material is SS347H --> Pipe --> 6-inch dia --> 14.01mm thickness.
Field joint fit-up is achieved with zero mismatches (as shown in
attached photo).
According to ASME B31.3, para 335.1.1(a), piping distortion, There is
no specific tolerance limit given for alignment piping
distortion/deflection.
If you have any data/reference from CODE for allowable tolerance of
piping straightness/vertically/deflection, kindly share.
