RE: [MW:11053] GRE pipings

Hi
GRE piping hydro test is  really very critical, I really surprise about missing engineering data !
Generally routing of GRE piping is done based on engg stress analysis and necessary anchors, thrust, supports etc.
In absence of any engg data ,QCP/ITP/Hydro test procedure is not at all advisable to proceed for hydro test.
We have done lot of GRE piping network in our TOTAL plant for firefighting system. Inspite of all engg data, QCP,ITP and procedure also we faced lot of problem during hydro test...gradual pressurizing is most important thing and all these recommendation you will find with GRE manufacturer.
We also considered GRE pipe manufactures recommendation for installation & testing too.Sometimes GRE pipe manufacturer was also present on site.
Please dont take any decision without engg data and appropriate procedures etc.

Dear Experts,

I'm working as TPI and representing ADNOC and my contractor who is doing GRE piping works. some of the works completed and I have checked them and found ok.

Now GRE piping installed and the pipings needs to be hydro tested. But I haven't been provided any documents regarding the procedures like method os statement for the hydro testing. I dont know even what pressure is? what is the holding time? no details were given in the drawing. How many pressure gauges to be used? where it is needed recorder etc,
NO QCP/ITP/hydro testing procedures.

Can anyone explain me how to sort out this problem? And what are the documents shoul I ask prior to this job?if possible some procedures and stds can be sent it to me.

Thanks in advance
