[MW:2345] Heat Input formula

Friends,

I have got the following formulae for calculating the heat input for SMAW and other welding processes’. Pl confirm which one is correct. As far as I am concerned, I am following the FIRST SET for all the process.

First Set:

  1. Max Amp x Max V / Min Speed : Max Heat Input
  2. Min Amp x Min V / Max Speed : Min Heat Input

Second Set:

  1. Max Amp x Max V / Max Speed : Max Heat Input
  2. Min Amp x Min V / Min Speed : Min Heat Input

Third set:

  1. Min Amp x Max Volts /Min Speed : Maximum Heat Input
  2. Max Amp x Min Volt / Max Speed : Minimum Heat Input

Regards,

Vasanth
