Inorder to cover dissimilar thickness welding, WPS has to cover the lower limit and upper limit, there is not upper limit if the WPS has been qualified for 38mm and Above. I have explained this on the basis of P No. 1, 3, 4, 5A, 5B,5C, 15E.
-- For P-No. 8, P-No. 41, P-No. 42, P-No. 43, P-No. 44,P-No. 45,P-No. 46, P-No. 51,P-No. 52, P-No. 53,P-No. 54, P-No. 61, P-No. 62, and P-No. 81 there is no limitations on maximum thickness, provided the PQR has been qualified on a 6mm thickness.
