RE: [MW:33404] Re: Weld Copper to Stainless Steel 304

Arc Welding is difficult, Brazing is possible. If fact a of copper to stainless joints are Arc Brazed with Silver Brazing filler . BAg 8 as cited by Mr Hegde  is a popular filler metal for such brazing. The most common option for joining  simpler shapes is Friction Welding , example as shown below.

My opinion with experience Copper to SS welding is not compatible

You can braze or vaccine braze with BAg8 or similar  filler

You can try with inconel 625 or Nickel 200, or buttering the stainless steel with either 625 or 200 and then weld with the same consumable  to the copper

I' ve seen welding with a copper consumable in the past, but there is a high risk of hot cracks
