Re: [MW:29946] Heat treatment of WPS

Hi!
Pl clarify
1)a)Does Dishend.have weld seam which ll undergo normalsing? After forming
If yes you wiil req qualified.WPS/pqr of normalise +pwht below Ac1 as per code for P1
b)If no then you need not.have pqr of Normalising but only Pwht below Ac1 as per code for P1
2) in case of condition (a) you should have 2Pqr one with NR+pwht  and second with pwht below Ac1
In case of condition (b) only.one Pqr of pwht below Ac1 temp as per P1 matl

Dear All,
Pl clarify the below.
One of vessel under fabrication will under go the fallowing heat treatments. (Material-516 G 70, shell-63 mm, dish end -75mm, dish end in one piece only)
  • Dishends Normalising-2 cycle.
  • PWHT for whole vessel.
Now shall I need to do all three heat treatment cycles to qualify WPS?
OR
Only two normalising cycles are enough?
