Hi, The Contractor is right,Normally Pneumatic test will be done of Re-Inforcement Pad of Nozzles only.In your case this is just a pad plate to avoid shell material directly welded to another kind of material.No need to do Pneumatic test on this.

Fluid service: Gas The Pad Re-Installation will be rectified at site. Contractor says that there is NO POST WELD HEAT TREATMENT for this vessel also this is a saddle pad and doesn't require pneumatic test of pad which is acceptable or not. Pls. clarify this issue.
