There's one option in B31.3,- U341.4.1.
A weld coupon examination in accordance with para. U344.8 May be used in lieu of 5% random radiography/ultrasonic examination required in para. 341.4.1(b)(1) when the following are employed in fabrication.
1. Autogenous automatic welding
2. Automatic orbital welding with the use of consumable insert rings.
There is no option for hydrostatic in lieu of RT.
