Dear Experts ,I need your kind advise on priority basis as per below mentioned query raised by our vendor ..
We have considered the following filler wire for girth welding of various
combination. Pl confirm the same.
For serial number A & B : ERNiCrMo‐3 (UNS N06625)
For serial number C : ER 2553 (UNS 39553).
A. Carbon Steel (P1 Gr 2) with UNS S32750 CRA Overlay to UNS S32750(D.S.S)
Solid Alloy Branch connection
B. Carbon Steel (P1 Gr 2) with UNS S32750 CRA Overlay to Carbon Steel (P1 Gr 2)
with UNS S32750 CRA Overlay.
C. UNS S32750 (D.S.S) Solid Alloy Girth welded Joints.
My Suggestion
the suitable filler wire.
ERNiCrMo‐3 (UNS N06625) / ERNiCrMo‐8 (UNS N06975) isacceptable to weld for serial
number A & B. with reference to
corrosion--
ER 2553 (UNS 39553) / ER 309LMO is
acceptable to use for serial
number C if only PREN value of
weldment is more than 42
