The definition for the passo system is clearly provided by Mr.Raguram Bathulla.

 

In our project we used Passo system, for the following pipe dia and wall thickness.

 

API 5L Grade X-65 Ø 56" x 0.467" x 0.517"

API 5L Grade X-70 Ø 60" x 0.679" x 0.814"

API 5L Grade X-70 Ø 60" x 0.551" x 0.661"

API 5L Grade X-65 Ø 60" x 0.500" x 0.554"

 

This process gave us the good quality of welding and % repair rate was less and the output of production was high. As welding was performed by automatic, the NDT inspection was done by Automated Ultrasonic Testing Method (AUT) by RTD group and Hi tech Inspection.
