Re: [MW:27263] Thickness of Painting (DFT)

Dear Karthikeyan,

Refer your project specification/procedure, which standard to be followed. If nothing is mentioned, refer SSPC PA2. Its describe (Procedure) how you have to measure  the DFT.

If the thickness is higher than what it is mentioned in the specification, always refer with coating manufacture/specifier/designer.

Dear Experts,

I'm very fresh for Painting Inspection, Kindly advise me for following

In the data sheet it is mentioned maximum DFT  is 350 microns, when I measured on the piping its shows 1000 microns  and above, Please clarify is it acceptable or not which international standards should i follow and what are defect will occur due to the higher thickness of coating.

Looking forward for yours kind valuable feedback.

Thanks & Warm Regards,
