Re: [MW:33630] Missing Material Certificate of Existing Line

First identify and check with the Lab how much grams of Fillings (using manual File on Pipe external surface) are required and sometimes even Lab will come and collect the Fillings. What is your Pipe Thickness and obtain operator permission to remove 0.5mm or 1mm from the live line surface to collect fillings. Normally spectroscopy involves an arc and not advisable on live line and X-Ray Fluoroscopy may be permitted but you cannot determine carbon content and the only viable option is to collect fillings. Re: [MW:33629] Missing Material Certificate of Existing Line

Mr Gerald, During shut down (welding our TEEs to live line) we will have time only for welding.  So, I have to have a proper qualified WPS on my hands prior to shut down. Operator of live lines is not able to provide certificates and live line's were manufactured according to GOST standard (Even not  to API or ASME).  Regards  Ilkin HASANOV  On Wed, 26 Oct 2022 at 08:55 'james gerald' via Materials & Welding < materials-welding@googlegroups.com > wrote: I believe from your mail that you are not going for Hot Tapping that means the Line has to be shut down for welding with TEE. Re: [MW:33626] Auto Tig for SS 310 with Ar+H2 gas

Hrishikesh we can use Ar 98% and 2%H2 with Filler wire. We use it for SigmaWeld Accelerated Tig, Square Butt Single Pass for SS310, with Filler. Please connect will be able to help with some parameters... We have used similar combination for capping passes as well.
