Groove weld WPS cannot be used in tube to tube sheet welding in heat exchanger Tube replacement . Separate WPS need to be prepared as per ASME SEC 9 and also the welder need to be qualified using that WPS

I have a question regarding the use of a groove weld WPS for plugging a tube in an exchanger and whether it is necessary to qualify a Tube-to-Tubesheet (TTS) WPS instead. I would greatly appreciate your insights on this matter. As per my understanding since it is a fillet weld we can do. If not please provide me reference.--
