Re: [MW:33999] REQUIREMENT OF NACE MR0175 FOR SA182 F316L TO SA213-TP316L WELDING.

Mr. Goswani was up to the point on the Hardness requirement for parent metal & PQR for CRA.

Just to Add, ISO 15156 -1/2/3 is applicable only for upstream Oil facilities for the below

Inline image
Requirements for carbon and LAS steel sour service requirements are quite simple and governed below.

Whereas the Requirement of sour service for CRA is Quite complex and governed by many factors as below.

Hence for the applicable Requirements, the proper Table for CRA shall be selected and made Applicable.

Hi Sujit,

MR-0175 is a history, it's replaced by ISO-15156. See the snapshot of the appropriate sections of this specification for your reference. Your query is not very specific. Is the intended design/operating service being Sour Environment as classified by NACE?

If that's the requirement then it's advisable to perform hardness survey on the weld cross section.

You may see the appropriate extracts from ISO-15156-3 , for your reference.

Thanks.

Dear Sujith ,

There are no specific requirements mentioned about hardness values for SS/DSS/DSS/CRA , If you can refer to NACE MR0103 states the same for you please refer to the below may be useful.
