Re: [MW:33071] Transverse crack observed after fillet welding

Hi
There is a tendency of Cracks in Fillet weld
if
Set up is not proper I. e  uneven at matching /mating  surface causing distortion
There should be strong tack weld on both ends and on opposite sides
Improper st up causes heavy stresses on weld causes cracks

Dear expert,

We observed transverse cracks after completion of fillet welding.
We are using EA2 filler wire in submerge arc welding and parent materials is E 450.
Please give us advice to resolve this issue.

Thanks & Regards
